Your day by day program
Arrival in Opatija. If you are arriving by car, we can arrange for you to have a guarded parking space. Cabins on your boat will be ready at around 12:00 and lunch will be served before departure. Your two-hour journey to the island of Krk will also be a great opportunity to meet the crew and your fellow passengers. Krk is the largest of the Kvarner islands. Begin an easy ride from the former fisherman village of Malinska to the town of Krk. The track is mostly a newly paved bike path, between Malinska and Krk.
Night on board.
Today, you will cycle in the direction of the village of Dobrinj, amidst landscapes with beautiful Mediterranean scented vegetation, chestnut groves and fig trees. After cycling through Dobrinj, you will ride through a valley of vineyards and reach the northeastern part of the island and the unique town of Vrbnik. The town of Vrbnik is also known as a museum town, and is home to the golden Zlahtina wine variety. After strolling through some of the narrowest streets in the world and sipping some wine, you will continue to cycle to the natural port of Punat, where you will have dinner and spend the night on the ship.
While you eat your breakfast, the boat will drive you to Lopar on the Island of Rab. From there, the path will lead you to a bay with a sandy beach. This is a very unusual landscape feature in the Kvarner islands. After that, you will cycle inland, past the beautiful bay of Supetarska Draga and head to the ancient walled city of Rab, with it four famous bell towers situated on an arrow-shaped peninsula. Around noon, the boat will be waiting for you in a harbour just outside the old town of Rab. After your evening meal, you will have the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere in the old part of town or to cycle to the nature reserve of the 'Dundo' forest, on the peninsula of Kalifront, and to ride back to Rab.
Night in the port of Rab.
After a short crossing to the island of Pag, you will cycle along the beautiful landscapes of the island. Your first stop will be the village of Lun and its ten-thousand-years-old olive trees and stone walls that were built by the residents to provide shelter from the wind. Please be careful when driving on the island since there are many sheep wandering freely on the road. In Novalja, you will have the opportunity to go back to ship, or to cycle further on with the group. We definitely recommend a break in a traditional tavern to taste the famous Pag cheese. In the idyllic village of Mandre, you will get back onboard the ship. Transfer from there to the island of Molat.
Dinner and night in Molat.
Molat is the smallest island that you will visit during the tour, and it is also the most romantic one. The village of Molat only has one bakery, a shop and two or three bars. The journey goes through the inland part of the island to the village of Zapuntel and back again. Along the way, you will see many beautiful bays and beaches. Lunch will be served on board. You will then continue your cruise to the island of Lošinj, where you will have another possibility to cycle to the fishing village of Veli Losinj and visit one of the many bays surrounded by pine trees at the Cikat Peninsula.
Night in Mali Losinj, near the port which is bordered with numerous cafes and many colourfully painted house-fronts.
After breakfast, you will cycle amidst pine and laurel trees along a panoramic road in the direction of the island of Cres. Your first stop will be the artistic village of Cres, where you will have a chance to get back on board the ship and have a relaxing afternoon or to take another (and more difficult) ride to the fishing village of Martinscica, where the ship will be waiting for you before setting off to the historic town of Cres.
Dinner and night in Cres.
During breakfast, the ship will set off for Moscenika Draga, situated on the Opatija Riviera. From there, you will ride along a coastal road, with spectacular views of the sea, to the town of Brsec, which stands on a rock promontory. Once there, you will have the chance to drink coffee or to walk through a small village with two churches. After your break, you will have the chance to decide whether to take the same coastal road again or to walk through a small village with two churches. After your break, you will be able to either take the same coastal road again or to choose a more difficult version of this ride and to cycle with your guide to the hill of St Jelena and back to Draga. Along the way, you will be able to admire a mountain village and the small Moscenice Ethnographic Museum. Lunch will be served aboard the ship. Continue your cycling journey to Opatija, where you will have the entire evening to admire this beautiful city, to walk through the parks or to stroll down the beach.
Night in Opatija.
Your trip ends here at the port of Opatija, after breakfast.
